Covers this website, our plugins for NativePHP Mobile, and the demo apps we publish for them. Effective 13 October 2026.
In short: we don't run analytics, ads or tracking on this site, and our plugins and demo apps don't send us your personal data. Health data, shared items and settings stay on your device.
Who we are
The Firsthand Co., LLC, East Troy, Wisconsin. We make Firsthand Kitchen and sell software plugins for app developers. Firsthand Kitchen has its own privacy policy.
This website
- We don't use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
- The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. Cloudflare also hides our email addresses from spam bots.
- If you email us, we use what you send only to answer you.
Our plugins
Our plugins are software components that developers build into their own apps: Share Sheet, Rich Push, Wallet Passes, App Icons, Health and Consent. None of them sends data to us, and none contains analytics, tracking or advertising code of ours. What an app built with them does with your data is up to that app's developer, and their privacy policy applies.
Our demo apps
We publish small demo apps, through Apple TestFlight and as test builds for Android, to show the plugins working:
- Share Sheet: what you share is listed on screen and stays on your device. See the Share Sheet privacy policy.
- Rich Push: shows your device's push notification token on screen. Push notifications are delivered by Apple and Google. If you choose to send us your token for a test notification, we use it only to send that notification.
- Wallet Passes: adds a sample pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet if you choose to. The pass contains no personal information.
- App Icons: changes the app's icon on your device. Nothing leaves the device.
- Health: with your permission, reads activity, weight, sleep and workout data from Apple Health or Health Connect and shows it on screen. If you tap "Log a glass of water", it saves 250 ml of water to your health data. Health data is never sent to us or anyone else, never used for advertising, and you can turn access off at any time in the Health app (iOS) or Health Connect (Android).
- Consent: shows Apple's tracking prompt and Google's sample consent form. To load the form, the app contacts Google, under Google's privacy policy. The demo shows no ads and tracks nothing.
If you install a demo through Apple TestFlight, Apple may share limited information with us about your install and any feedback you choose to send. That's handled under Apple's privacy policy, and we use it only to support and improve the demos.
Buying a plugin
Plugins are sold through the NativePHP marketplace, which handles payment and licensing under NativePHP's privacy policy. We receive the details needed to support your purchase, such as your name and email address, and use them only for that.
Children
This website, our plugins and our demo apps are not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You can remove a demo app at any time, which deletes everything it stored on your device. To ask about any information we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email us.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
